There was nothing more important to Dad than the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Together they settled in her home town where they built their dream home and raised their family. He lived in East Garland until he married a beautiful young lady from Providence Utah named Jolene Mathews. He was born October 27th, 1938 in East Garland, Utah to Jasper Woods and Donna Oyler Shaffer. Jasper “Dean” Shaffer, 83 yrs old passed from this mortal existence peacefully on July 9th, 2022.
